I taught in Secondary Schools and Further Education Colleges in Australia and the UK before switching to teacher education. I trained teachers in Botswana from 1997–2001. After returning to the UK, I was appointed to the University of Huddersfield and taught international students on education programmes in Huddersfield, China, and Jordan. I retired in 2014.
At the University I got to know several of the Zambian founding members of TTCSZ. Like them, I know education has the power to change the lives of vulnerable children. I believe that process starts with good quality teachers and that is why I’m very happy to be Chair of TTCSZ and a trustee of T4Z.
